What's wrong with click fraud?
Search engines are suppose to be free.
People should not pay to have their listing posted.
Click fraud would make people not pay to have their website posted on a search engine; then everybody will be on a equal footing, those with money and those without.

Grumpy, he's Sending You Parked Domain Ads, with Google adsense on them, or with Yahoo Search Marketing Ads on them, lol.
The Very ACT of Sending Them, is Fraud!

The only reason it lasts as long as it Does, is because Goog and Yahoo have to Verify the Fraud, via the Parking Companies where their ads are displayed on. So it takes some time for it all to get Kanned.
He's Lost Parked.com and Trafficz.com so we're getting there, lol.

I was paid $113 combined last month from Team1Players & AGroupEffort. Both excellent programs.

Why doesn't the anti-search brigade go shut down sites that pay 1/4 a search? Or better yet, leave everyone alone and let people do as they choose... to search or not search?

Yes and better yet, why not go after Michael Laskey and his Name Swap parker? If we are dirty searchers, then his hands are just as dirty because his parker is running on all these search sites. How else you think he is actually paying members of his PTRs? LOL.........and these snitches hands are just as dirty as anyone elses! Sheesh nobody likes a hypocrite, let alone one that is a hypocrite and snitch too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dirol.gif)

And yet they wonder what is wrong with this so called "industry".....get a grip people, an industry is NOT built on a $60 script! What you need is hobby to combat your boredom.

I get searches from Tickled Pink PTR (as an examp-le) why is no one reporting them? Because I know that if I search on that portal, it will help the site make more money. Isn't that the same thing?

I got an email from team1 saying that a now deleted member reported the use of googleadons.com on team1, but with the owner of googleadons.com being the same as team1, it was a bit pointless reporting violation of terms as its the same person LOL

Everybody knows that there are some ptr.ptr and profit sharing sites are rip offs....I been in quite a few....

A Group Effort and Team 1 Players is one of the best I have had...I clicked and made the searches....no big deal...I knew that to raise the point value you had to search....

So what is a little click fraud? Frankly, I don't like that term at all...I search for things that interest me...bookmark the sites I like and go back later...and I have learned alot with the different sites I see,,,,click fraud...not to me...

Yes..I do rely on these sites for income.... I have been a member for a little over a month and I got paid.....so I'm not complaining.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif) for both sites!!!!

Well, aren't all PTR's cheating then? There are tons of one cent sites that are paying within 48 hours. How do you think they make their money? If people don't search -- no money. Most of these small search engines would get no traffic if it wasn't for PTR sites. Who ever heard of most of these little search engines? Some of these little engines are useless. You search a topic and they bring up something totally different. People usually just search on goggle if they want to find something. Where do you draw the line to what PTR is cheating and what ones aren't. It either has to be all of them or none of them. It just seems that some people decide to try and ruin certain sites when you could find something wrong with all of them if you wanted to.

Duff violated the terms of his own site. Deleted a member for catching the violation and is now in a tizzy because he got caught with his hands double dipping in the cookie jar. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rofl.gif) Now sending members to this thread to protect their own purloined profits because oh wahhhhhh, "I'm outnumbered"

Only in PTR (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) No wonder there will never be outside advertisers that will take this business seriously.

I don't get the point of this discussion.

Someone explain to me what is fraudulent about Team1Players, please.

If I click on a search link and do a search, I am doing what I have been paid to do. And I
am doing what the search engines want me to do. Who is being defrauded?

I get search links to click on from almost every PTR I belong to, the only difference
is that the payment to me is usually a fraction of a cent.

So, the way I see it is someone has decided that it only becomes fraudulent if the payout to
the searcher exceeds a cent a search? Or what?

Wow... I am a member from A group effort, and also from Team1players, and you known what ?

I like these sites, because it is the first time that I've been paid normally for my work. When you are clicking all on days and days to get any cents and from time to time you're been scammed by dishonest sites, that is not correct !

When a WM has for one time good ideas to keep you more money, everybody does the police to say it is not a good thing ? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ticked.gif)

I have made a choice, I am a searcher and if I sign up with a site, it is because I known it where is the forcing than ? I agree. And if I don't, I quit it is very simple.

You are not forced with these sites to make searches, but if you want to get money, it is the concept of these :

A website for people helping people
Together we prosper, Divided we fall

Everybody is free to choice, and I known I have made the good choice.

Oiframes ? No problem for me, it is my choice also.

Let the people choice what they want ! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/duh.gif) I am proud to be a member from Team1player and Agroupeffort, and the WM is somebody friendly and who take care from his members, that's enough for us. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/perfect.gif)

If people are clicking on search results just for the money, and not because they are searching for something they are really in the market for, then that would be click fraud and wrong.

Not all sites are actually telling their members in this way though, that they have to search to raise point values or that they should not click the link if they don't intend to do a search. Some sites just allow the member to choose to search when they really have something to search for.

Some might claim that they are searching for things they are interested in - I've seen some click logs that would suggest that the majority are not doing that, they are just blind clicking on keywords, one after the other with no interest in the subject. I think the test is, would you have gone to a ppc engine and searched for that item, without the penny on offer, or is it something you are actively looking for offline and without the penny you would not have thought to search for it online, and end up purchasing it online because you took advantage of a ppc engine.

The PO of this site is doing proper click fraud though, as he owns search engines, and he knows it's wrong to send traffic to parked domains and tell people to click for money on the results and he is making it clear that people should search, rather than giving them a real choice to visit the link and not perform a search.

If that makes any sense

I wonder if any of the MD cheerleaders have really read that first email this morning and really understand what Michael Duff is telling all of you.

Here's the header and the opening:

QUOTE
WARNING! MUST READ! DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!!!!
From: "team1players.com" <do_not_reply@team1players.com> Add to Address BookAdd to Address Book Add Mobile Alert
Date: Thu, 13 Jul 2006 10:41:07 -0400

Member xxxxxx (ID deleted by me) from Team1Players just lost their
account for a major violation in terms. As webmaster of
googleadons.com she/he reported me to ME.

TERMS:

Should any instances of fraud, system abuse, or any
type of activity deemed to be inappropriate or illegal
by agroupeffort.net be detected it may result in member
termination and possible legal action. Any
solicitation of advertisers for a confirmation e-mail for
purposes of receiving credit in your account will be grounds
for immediate termination.

Now before anybody else starts rah-rahing......think about a couple of things:

1. Why did MD choose to call this email "WARNING.....DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU"?

What exactly was he warning you all about and why did he say "don't let this happen to you"? Could it be that maybe - just maybe - he was telling the rest of you to be good little sheep and do what he says without question and don't even think about reporting him to anyone since none of you know when you might be reporting MD to MD?

2. How exactly did MO break the terms in any way? Was he the one committing fraud, system abuse or anything else illegal? Yes, I know MD said that MO broke the terms, but did he really? Or did he simply shut down one of MD's tidy little sources of income?

Maybe the key word to MD was "inappropriate" and nothing else - and of course he considers it to be inappropriate behavior when one of his sheep steps out of line!

He pretty much verifies this at the end of that email when he says this:

QUOTE
This is one of the biggest violations in terms on both
my sites and will get you terminated without question.
I lost TrafficZ last night with over $1800.00 in
earnings on the account. Half of that was yours!

He didn't lose that account for any reason other than the fact that he was breaking the rules and he got caught! That's it. It's no one's fault but his own.

He obviously is well aware of what he's doing....and he's terrified that somebody else is going to cut off another source of his income and Omigosh....he might actually have to work like the rest of us slugs instead of sitting back and letting you - the members - do his dirty work for him while he pockets the lion's share of the money you make from that dirty work.

Wake up time folks....Why do you think he doesn't want any of his "numbers" made public? Why do you think he also lost his Clicksor account? Why do you think he's trying to trick the search engines into believing the searches you do came straight from the portal page and not a link in an email he sent you? Why do you think the "revisit" links in emails never take you to the same place as the runner link did?

This guy is the epitome of fraud and he's been caught! I'd love to think that most recent email meant the end of his little con game, but I doubt it. He might shut down Team 1 and A Group Effort because way too many people are on to him now, but he'll try it again - the names will be different, but the fraud will be the same.
