I am seeing this in sooooo many posts, so I'm going to try and explain...
The Been Paid list, that you see at most sites, isn't there to tell you have been paid. It only means that you requested cashout and the date you requested it, the amount, and blah blah blah. Its basically useless, but it does NOT mean you got paid. If you watch, next time you cashout, go to the Been Paid list and within minutes you will see your name there already, and of course you didn't get paid that quick. I know everyone wants their money from the earthquake sites, I do too. If you are owed monies, click once in awhile to keep yourself active at the site and wait until the cable is fixed everywhere before quitting the site. You're only just giving your money away if you quit before the cable is fixed. If after a few days of the cable being completed, you've not seen posts of people getting paid, then of course walk if you need. Maybe some of the sites are back because their cable was repaired first. Who knows, but if the news media says middle or end of February, then I sure wouldn't walk away from my money until I heard the cable was fixed all over. I'm by no means saying that all sites are going to do right by us, but I would at least give them enough benefit to finish getting repairs done. Hope that explains a little bit about the Been Paid list (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aa.gif) |

My been paid list only shows actual payments made after I checked them off manually, pending payments are not listed at all. Are we speaking about the same plugin, Payouts Organizer Plug-in, here?

As far as the been paid list is concerned, before the earthquake, when my username appeared on the list,I knew I would be paid in a few hours. |

I think this thread is referring to the BeenPaid plugin from Jkirkpatrick. That plug in will show a member as being paid as soon as the money is taken from the member acount as it is reading the accounting file and automatically displaying the information. The posts in complaints I have been reading do state that the money was deducted from their account when they requested. So the plug in is just displaying that information. I can see where these setting and plugins could cause confusion. |

Reminds me of sites which auto deduct the amount you had in your account when you request payout and sit and sit and sit and wait thinking you are going to be paid and you aren't... Not to say these sites aren't paying. Just referring to settings in the scripts. Mine never deducts when payout is requested till the person is actually paid. To me it seems like better bookeeping but just my opinion. |

How many sites have been "sold" recently? How many of these new owners are aware that the site debt is much higher than they thought due to this fact? If that script is setup that way (automatically posting as "been paid" when it is not the case), that, at the least is seriously flawed and in worst case scenario, is deceptive/fraudulent. Think of it this way, a new viewer sees the site for the first time, clicks on the "been paid" list and sees a long list of recent payouts but this site is MONTHS behind actual payouts (or has never paid anyone). This new "recruit" just got duped and has the right to be upset. |

It does seem that way if the people that go automatically onto that list havent been payed and it says been payed (getting confused on the spelling here I use payed not paid) then it is in theory incorrect. If the plug in is configured that way can it be altered? or if not then will the plug in people if informed alter it to reflect what it actually means? |

I assume it can be edited to reflect payments instead of requests, because some PO's own more than 1 site and on one, it adds your name when you request and on the other one, it doesn't add your name nor deduct the earnings until you have actually been paid.
I think if it adds you when you request, it should be called a 'requested' list or something not as misleading as a 'been paid' list. |

I always wonder about that too.Becuase my site I paid then they show up in the been paid list. And some of the site I am in it actrually have to wait for the payment to get to my payment processor then I call it paid..That is why sometimes member show the been paid list to gain referals I normally just skip and go on to the next site. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bb.gif)
I think the difference is the plugin that was used. I like the Payout Organizer Plug-in better then the Jkirkpatrick's been paid. Jkirkpatrick's been paid give member the illussion...Ummm hope I spell it correct. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ap.gif) of they been paid. Payout Organizer does not. Most of the site that are effected by the earthquake sites they mostly only use those free plug in. |
